DX Engineering Podcast and mini-Contest University Promotion by K1DG
On May 24, 2024, Doug Grant, K1DG, was interviewed by Tim Duffy, K3LR, on the weekly DX Engineering YouTube Podcast. Doug recaps his visit to the Dayton Hamvention and gives his impressions about the convention from a contesting perspective.

Phil Temples, K9HI, presented to members of the PART of Westford (MA) radio club on April 16, 2024 about the 2024 Northeast HamXposition. The talk included the showing of the Convention’s new promotional video produced by Eric Pfeifer, N1JUR. The PART meeting was well attended.
Several PART club members are actively involved with the Convention, both presenting talks and volunteering their time.
Mt. Tom ARA Amateur Radio & Electronics Hamfest, Chicopee MA, March 2, 2024

HamXposition Presence at Algonquin ARC Flea Market
The Northeast HamXposition had a presence at the Algonquin ARC Flea Market in Marlboro, Massachusetts on February 17, 2024. Volunteer Chair Barbara Irby, KC1KGS; Marketing & Promotion Chair Phil Temples, K9HI; and Program Chair Skip Youngberg, K1NKR, staffed a table with handouts, business cards and a large computer monitor displaying photos from the 2023 Convention. The table was co-sponsored by New England Sci-Tech.
New England Sci-Tech Students Participate in Cubes in Space Experiments
“New England Sci-Tech students participate in the Cubes in Space program run by iEDU inc. where they create and present experiments that, if selected, launch into near-space on a NASA sounding rocket or zero pressure scientific balloon. This year, the students taking part in Cubes in Space proposed an experiment to test the viability of launching spray-dried blood into space for rehydration in a zero-gravity environment to treat traumatic injury in space.”
Since porcine blood most closely matches human blood, team is researching if APC’s products could treat traumatic injury in space. [Full story]
