Several automated transmitters are running during the 2026 Northeast HamXposition on the convention grounds, intended for on-foot “fox hunts” (hidden transmitter hunts). If you are interested but are new to fox hunting, check the program for the fox hunting forums and hands-and training sessions. A wheelchair accessible “fox”will be transmitting on 145.605 MHz. Other foxes, perhaps less accessible, will be on 147.540 MHz (it has a 4-watt transmitter, so add an attenuator or listen on the 3rd harmonic when you get close) and on 145.630 and 146.565 MHz.
