Open, closed quotes What people are saying about HamXposition:

QRPer.com: “It’s been a whirlwind over the past four weeks, but things are finally starting to settle down here at the QTH. One of the highlights of this busy season was my wonderful trip to Marlborough, Massachusetts, for HamXposition.” [Full story]

I attended Friday and Saturday. Friday was a bit slow, but expected. Saturday was much busier, enjoyed many eyeball QSO’s, the flea market and forums.

We are very lucky to have this event and the hard work from the management team shows.

Dan W1DAN

My husband and I have attended these HamXpositions for years now. Lots of great presentations and vendors. Worth the trip!

Thanks for bringing lots of knowledge for hams to the Central Massachusetts area!

Michele, KC1TIW

I have been attending the New England Convention for close to fifty yests and it is still a wonderful experience. There are a large number of forums, seminars, lectures, etc; something for every interest level. The Commercial exhibits are good although some of the major manufacturers no longer participate. The outdoor flea market often yields many treasures for those who like check out its’ offerings. Definitely worth attending.

Michael Crestohl, W1RC

I have seen this event grow from Boxboro to a combined Hudson/New England division convention. The seminars are informative, it is difficult to choose only one, at times. The Flea Market is so interesting, sometimes you are late for a forum you wanted to attend. The best part, is getting to meet some of the folks that live in the little box on your table. See you there!

“It was great to have such a convention.  So many people did so many things to make it happen.  I  would go again because it is such a unique and special event. . . I am grateful to you and many others who made his convention possible.”

Fran Walsh, K1ILR

I think this year there’s more positive energy than there’s been before. It’s very encouraging. . . . And the kids are standing in line to play with the soldering irons, which is always great. I think that the folks at New England Sci-Tech deserve a lot of credit.

Ted Robinson, K1QAR

We had two young girls come in and visit [the GOTA station], ages 12 and 9. The 12-year-old got licensed for robotics, and the 9-year-old sat down to make some contacts.

Also, a father and son who got their General licenses on Saturday made their first HF contacts using the W1XPO station.

Over Friday and Saturday, I’d say we had at least 30-50 visitors from when I was in the room.

Rocco Quattrucci, WQ1Q

The Northeast HamXpo is one of the best hamfests in New England and one of the stronger ARRL Division Conventions in the country. The forum program remains one of the strongest in the country and will only get stronger over time as new forum topics and items that have been thought of over the years get brought forward to be presented.

The SKYWARN Training, Advanced SKYWARN Topics Presentation, and the 1-Degree Outside presentation with Matt and Danielle Noyes were all full with enthusiastic crowds of amateur radio operators, and the foot traffic at our ARES-SKYWARN Table was great. Matt and Danielle commented to the room at their presentation that the warm welcome of Amateur Radio SKYWARN Spotters is “like coming home to their roots” and how much the Amateur Radio community support is appreciated!

We look forward to this convention every year for the comradery of Amateurs that it brings to together in one place as well. Can’t wait for next year’s convention!

We had collected a bunch of radios, cable, an assorted accessories (including a vintage electric guitar pickup coil rewinding machine) that were not particularly useful to us, but way too nice to throw out. In addition to clearing out storage space, we brought in a nice bit of cash to help support our students.

Joe Fitzgerald KM1P

Thank you, Bob DeMattia, Bob Inderbitzen and John McAuliffe, for the wonderful trip to ARRL Headquarters and W1AW. It was beautifully organized, and it fulfilled a dream many of us have had for many years!

Jim Irby, WB4EJR

Congratulations on a super program at HamXpo 2025. A lot of stuff to see – too little time to see it!  I had a ball.

Mitch Stern, W1SJ

The Keynote talk opening the Convention was outstanding! Tom Witherspoon, K4SWL, gave one of the finest talks I’ve ever heard promoting Amateur Radio describing it as more than a hobby but a “Social Community of Friends”! What a great way to explain the essence of Amateur Radio to the public.

Tom K1TW

This was my third HamXpo since moving back to W1 land, and I found it to be the most enjoyable one yet.

Particular praise for the flea market, which had more vendors with better selections than in past years, it seemed to me.

I wish I had made more time for some of the forums, but there were too many interesting ones and conflicting activities.

Friday’s hotel lunch line seemed to move more smoothly. The new restaurant design for breakfast was very nice!

Chuck Chandler, WS1L

We were fortunate enough to arrive on Thursday this year, a rarity for me. We enjoy this event every year and it’s always something to look forward to. We have been coming for several years. […]

I’m very happy to see FlexRadio and Elecraft showing up for the last two years as vendors. HRO needs to make the trip sometime. I know they are local but they are missing out on good sales by not being in the room. It’s great to see this event growing and blossoming in the Marlborough location. Such a better place than Boxboro was.

Rebecca, K1BKY

I hadn’t been to this event in over 15 years and was amazed. There were fifteen venues (forum rooms) with talks in each going on just about every hour, plus the outdoor flea market, indoor vendor area and workshops and other interactive events in the Atrium. I attended an all-day mini-contest university and had a great time meeting other hams and renewing friendships with those I hadn’t seen in awhile. It was truly a mini Dayton-Hamvention!

Diane Ortiz, K2DO, Vice President, YLRL

I was so impressed with the enthusiasm and energy at HamX! I was in the middle of the action and saw the friendly eyeball QSOs, hams comparing notes, planning for the next forum to attend, buying flea bargains, engaging with speakers and exhibitors, and learning/dining at the dinners. Having young hams in the middle of the action in the Atrium and running a number of presentations demonstrated the spirit of the future leaders in our hobby! I ran into a friend from a former job that I hadn’t seen in some time-fun catching up.

Thanks to all, especially our volunteers!

Barbara Irby, KC1KGS

Thank you, and ALL the organizers and volunteers that make this ARRL New England Convention what it is, a fantastic time our passion of radio, electronics and physics of Amateur Radio.

Carl Achin, WA1ZCQ

Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend the banquet tonight, and for the scholarship award. Have a wonderful night! —Krish

Krish Desai, KD9RGN

Thank you for all you do for the show! It is an amazing team. There are many working parts and it all comes together for a well run show.

Eric Williams, KV1J

On behalf of the entire group of speakers at this year’s miniCTU, both Doug, K1DG and I wish to thank you for your interest and enthusiasm for one of the most exciting aspects of our hobby! It really does bring all of the elements together! We trust you found it educational and motivational.

Mark Pride, K1RX

“Open Mic Night” was fantastic and very interesting. [K9HI] did a great job MCing this activity. I knew most of the faces but had never actually talked to the story tellers. I learned a lot about others and their experiences in life. Great way to bring people together! Thank you for organizing this activity at HamX
