State managers from the 13 Colonies Special Event and the World Soccer Tournament Special Event will discuss what it takes to run a large special event, results from the 2026 events and plans for future events.
Bob Josuweit, WA3PZO, has been licensed since 1970. He coordinates WM3PEN activities during the 13 Colonies Special Event and the 2026 World Soccer Tournament. He served as the Public Service Columnist for CQ Amateur Radio from 2000 – 2009. Previously he wrote the public service column for CQ VHF. He also has had articles appear in Popular Communications, Conformity, and 9-1-1 to name a few. He served on the ARRL Public Relations Committee, and was past chairman of the ARRL Emergency Communications Advisory Committee. He is a past Eastern Pennsylvania Section Emergency Coordinator, Assistant Section Manager and Affiliated Club Coordinator. Bob was a member of the 1980 Winter Olympic Torch Relay Team (Olympia, Greece to Lake Placid, NY). He is currently treasurer of the Holmesburg Amateur Radio Club in Philadelphia.
