[OTA] This presentation will help you to get started with POTA. Parks on the Air (POTA) was founded in September 15, 2010. Its purpose is to encourage Amateur Radio Operators who enjoy the outdoors but, may not be interested in or able to take long hikes or climb steep hills, to combine interests by operating from local, state, or national parks around the world. Aspects of POTA to be discussed include Hunting and Activating parks. Portable station setup (rigs, battery, antenna) , operation (logging, modes, exchange), log submission, and POTA websites will be covered for both hunters and activators. Additionally, the presenter will review the contents of his POTA Go-Bag.
