Join Rob Leiden, K1UI, as he presents “Organizing an RFI Team to help find and fix interference” at the 2026 Northeast HamXposition.
Getting RFI teams organized takes a combination of technical, personal and administrative skills. It’s hard work but it pays teams back in the gratitude of and recognition by hams who get help. The teams learn about the science behind RFI, work with the ARRL Lab to resolve tough cases and master troubleshooting techniques.
Rob, K1UI, is Assistant New England Director and an Assistant Section Manager in EMA. His interests also include promoting MESH networking to achieve a New England-wide network. Rob has been licensed for over 60 years and has held many club and ARRL section leadership positions. His on-the-air activities have included DX’ing, traffic handling and digital communications. Rob leads a team of about 50 hams in the New England Division working to help hams with their RFI problems. He also manages a groups,io reflector that brings hams from all over the country together to promote RFI problem solving and RFI team activities
